[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Kim Seong-won, the senior deputy floor leader of the People Power Party, stated, "We will verify the Blue House special activity expenses at the National Assembly's Steering Committee" and added, "We will review them to ensure that not a single penny of the people's tax is wasted."
At the floor strategy meeting held at the National Assembly on the 13th, Kim said, "Looking at next year's budget proposal, it's outrageous." On this day, the Steering Committee held a plenary session to review the next year's budget proposals under the jurisdiction of the Blue House, including the Presidential Secretariat and the National Security Office.
He pointed out, "We will correct the 2021 budget proposal of the Presidential Secretariat," adding, "It includes a large amount of special activity expenses whose usage is unknown, legal advisory costs, and tens of millions of won allocated for Blue House visitors and souvenirs."
Regarding the recent real estate jeonse crisis, he criticized, "The responsibility lies entirely with President Moon," and said, "The Moon administration should stop blaming others and the previous government, replace with a competent person, and shift the policy direction."
