According to the Saha Police Station in Busan, at around 5:40 a.m. on the 13th, police responded to a 112 emergency call and found Mr. A (in his 40s) sitting on the window ledge on the 4th floor of a 7-story officetel building in Dangni-dong, Saha-gu, having self-inflicted several wounds with a bladed weapon.
The police were dispatched after receiving a 112 call reporting "someone is following me," but upon arrival at the scene, they found Mr. A holding two bladed weapons on the 4th floor.
The responding officers established a police line at the scene and urgently requested the fire department to install safety mats to prevent injury from a potential fall.
Currently, the chief of the Saha Police Station is directing the scene, and the Busan Police Agency's crisis negotiation team and special police unit have also been dispatched.
