The Bank of Korea's First Regular Monetary Policy Meeting Next Year on January 15
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunbyeol Kim] The Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of Korea announced on the 12th that it plans to hold a total of 24 regular meetings in 2021. There will be 8 meetings to decide the monetary policy direction and 4 financial stability meetings. The first Monetary Policy Committee meeting will be held on January 15.
The minutes of the monetary policy direction decision meetings and financial stability meetings will be disclosed on the first Tuesday two weeks after the meeting date, as before. However, since the minutes of the financial stability meetings in March and June 2021 will be disclosed just before the monetary policy direction decision meetings in April and July, respectively, they will be disclosed earlier.
