Heo In, KB Kookmin Bank President, Finalized for 3rd Term at General Meeting
The term lasts until December next year
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Heo In, CEO of KB Kookmin Bank, has been confirmed for a third term.
According to the financial sector on the 12th, KB Kookmin Bank finalized Heo's reappointment at the shareholders' meeting held at 5 p.m. the previous day.
Previously, Kookmin Bank held three Bank CEO Candidate Recommendation Committee (Haengchuwi) meetings, selecting Heo as the sole candidate and conducting verification processes. Heo's term will last until December next year. Elected as Kookmin Bank CEO in November 2017 with a two-year term and successfully reappointed for one year last year, Heo will serve a total of four years as CEO until November 2021 with this latest reappointment.

Heo was born in December 1961 in Jinju, Gyeongnam, graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in law, and earned a master's degree in law from the same graduate school. He joined Kookmin Bank during the 1998 IMF financial crisis and has held various positions such as Executive Director of the Credit Review Department, Senior Executive Director of the Management Planning Group, and Vice President of the Sales Group, gaining extensive experience and being recognized for his deep understanding of customers, markets, and sales operations.
