Bathroom Wet Tissue Market Grew Over 20% Last Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Yuhan-Kimberly announced on the 10th that it will launch upgraded new versions of three types of toilet wet wipes under the 'Kleenex My Bidet' product line.
The newly upgraded products include the flagship 'My Bidet', 'My Bidet Kids' specialized for children's toilet training, and 'My Bidet Balance Care' which helps with feminine hygiene, with significant improvements in fabric and ingredients.
The new products use a newly developed thick 'Clean Cushion Embossing Fabric' with wave-patterned textures to enhance hygiene. Additionally, they have completed internal verification by applying the toilet flushing suitability test from the International Nonwovens Association, which is recognized in the US and Europe.
According to Yuhan-Kimberly, these products received an 'Excellent' rating in the Dermatest skin irritation test. The Kids product contains panthenol to help strengthen the skin barrier, while the Balance Care product includes prebiotics and organic natural herbal ingredients.
Previously, the toilet wet wipes introduced by Yuhan-Kimberly in 2013 were specialized products designed to be flushed directly into the toilet. Yuhan-Kimberly explained that the related market led by Kleenex My Bidet grew by more than 20% compared to the previous year as of 2019.

A Yuhan-Kimberly representative stated, "Along with the growth of the approximately 250 billion KRW wet wipes market, demand for specialized functional products such as 'toilet wet wipes' and 'hand sanitizing wet wipes' is rapidly increasing," adding, "Due to recent issues like COVID-19, the wet wipes market related to personal hygiene is expected to expand further."
