Gwangju City Signs Business Agreement on 'Artificial Intelligence Business' with Igloo Security Co., Ltd.

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 10th that it has signed the 51st business agreement with AI attraction company Igloo Security Co., Ltd. to establish a Gwangju-type AI business foundation, and will actively cooperate in fostering the AI cybersecurity industry in Gwangju through the establishment of a corporation and a regional office.
Igloo Security Co., Ltd., established in November 1999, is a specialized information security company that holds the number one market share in Korea in integrated security management, security monitoring services, security consulting, and development of convergence security monitoring solutions.
The main products include ▲ an integrated security management solution (SPiDER TM) that combines extensive experience in security monitoring and big data utilization capabilities ▲ a machine learning-based AI security monitoring solution (SPiDER TM AI Edition) ▲ a security diagnosis automation solution (Smart[Guard]) that automatically diagnoses IT asset management and security vulnerabilities ▲ and a web page tampering monitoring solution (WEBMON) that detects homepage tampering through comprehensive monitoring and surveillance.
Through the business agreement, Igloo Security Co., Ltd. plans to establish a Gwangju corporation and regional office to actively cooperate in nurturing talent in the AI cybersecurity field and creating new jobs in the Gwangju area.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲ joint research and technical and policy consultation for fostering the AI cybersecurity industry ▲ promotion of establishing a Gwangju corporation and regional office for nurturing talent and creating jobs in the AI cybersecurity field ▲ development and operation of various corporate support programs to create an AI industry ecosystem ▲ planning and promotion of education and employment programs for AI field professionals.
Lee Deuk-chun, CEO of Igloo Security Co., Ltd., said, “As the non-face-to-face digital transformation accelerates, the importance of AI technology and talent acquisition to discover new growth engines from data is increasing,” adding, “We will do our best to accelerate the creation of an AI ecosystem and the discovery of excellent talent through collaboration with Gwangju City.”
