The collective bargaining signing event between Uljin-gun and the Public Officials Union held on the 9th was the first since the union's establishment in 2019. This agreement consists of 109 main articles and 8 supplementary articles.
It includes guarantees for union activities, labor conditions of union members, improvements in personnel systems, education and training, maternity protection, reform of the public service sector and eradication of corruption, and employee welfare.
Jang Sang-mook, the union chairman, said, "Although collective bargaining was delayed in 2020 due to COVID-19 and typhoon damage recovery, I am pleased that we were able to sign the agreement amicably based on mutual trust and sincerity," adding, "I hope the agreement can be implemented based on mutual respect."
