Dongshin University Reselected for IPP-Type Work-Learning Dual System Project
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Dongshin University announced on the 9th that it has been reselected for the IPP-type Work-Learning Dual System project, hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.
The IPP-type Work-Learning Dual System project is an industry-academia cooperation model aimed at enhancing college students' practical skills and resolving the manpower mismatch between universities and companies.
The university operates two programs: ‘Long-term On-site Training,’ which involves on-site training at companies for more than four months, and ‘Work-Learning Dual System,’ where students and industries sign a learning labor contract and combine NCS (National Competency Standards)-based apprenticeship training at companies with school education.
Dongshin University was selected for the IPP-type Work-Learning Dual System project in 2016 and has been carrying out this project for five years. With this re-selection, the project will continue until February 2024.
So far, 592 students have participated in long-term on-site training at 201 companies, and 125 students have participated in the Work-Learning Dual System at 55 companies.
