[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) will hold the ‘2020 Seongbuk Online Career Fair’ on an online platform for two weeks from the 9th to the 20th.
The Seongbuk Career Fair has been held offline every year, but this year, due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, it supports youth to explore various careers and majors in a virtual space.
This online fair is themed ‘Finding a Career from Your Room’ and consists of 42 booths in a 3D virtual space, divided into five themed zones: ▲Career Experience Zone ▲Major Exploration Zone ▲Job Understanding Zone ▲Future Exploration Zone ▲Mentoring.
About 5,000 students from 14 middle and high schools in Seongbuk-gu will participate through pre-registration. The opening ceremony of the fair will be broadcast live at 10 a.m. on the 9th on the YouTube channel ‘Seongbuk Youth Future Support Center’.
Meanwhile, during the fair period, Seongbuk-gu will hold a ‘Youth Creator Contest’ to provide youth with the opportunity to become creators themselves by submitting videos expressing their future dreams.
Mayor Lee Seung-ro of Seongbuk-gu said in a video greeting, “I hope that through this fair, youth will have a valuable experience finding their careers by crossing the boundaries between online and offline.”
