LG HelloVision Matches Fire Safety Equipment Donations for Children in Vulnerable Local Communities
On November 9, Firefighting Day, 'Safety Hero Project' Conducted
Firefighting Equipment Kits Prepared Linked to New Subscribers of HelloTV and HelloInternet
Distributed to Single-Parent and Grandparent-Headed Families with Children in Gangwon, Chungnam, and Gyeongbuk through Green Umbrella Children's Foundation
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] LG HelloVision is conducting the 'Safety Hero Project' with customers on the occasion of Firefighting Day on the 9th. Until the 20th, customers who newly subscribe to Hello TV and Hello Internet through the online Hello Shop will participate in a campaign where firefighting equipment kits are delivered to children in vulnerable local communities through the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation.
The kits will be donated to 15 local children's centers in Gangwon, Gyeongbuk, and Chungnam regions through the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation. These will be given to single-parent families and grandparent-headed families. Children in single-parent and grandparent-headed families are often left alone at risk of fire due to care gaps caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The firefighting equipment includes portable fire extinguishing spray and wet masks. They are easy to use, allowing even young children to easily utilize them for initial fire suppression and evacuation. The firefighting social enterprise 'Daeyoung Hightech' participated in this support project.
Each local children's center conducts fire safety education for the children, who then write thank-you letters to firefighters who have devoted themselves to local safety.
