Gwanak Nonghyup Donates 40 Million Won to Regional Nonghyups Affected by Typhoon and Heavy Rain

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] Seoul Gwanak Nonghyup (Chairman Park Jun-sik) announced on the 5th that it has donated 40 million won in relief funds to local Nonghyups severely damaged by heavy rain and typhoons last summer.
On the 30th of last month, Gwanak Nonghyup started by donating 10 million won each to Seoyeongam Nonghyup and Bigeum Nonghyup in Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do, and on the same day, it delivered a total of 10 million won in typhoon damage relief funds, 5 million won each to Yeongdeok Nonghyup in Gyeongsangbuk-do and Namgeochang Nonghyup in Gyeongsangnam-do. Gwanak Nonghyup plans to additionally donate 5 million won each to Songak Nonghyup and Yeongin Nonghyup in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do.
In addition, Gwanak Nonghyup is purchasing excellent agricultural products from the affected areas struggling to secure sales channels during the harvest season and is holding a direct transaction market for sales until the 6th of this month.

Park Jun-sik, chairman of Gwanak Nonghyup, said, "I extend my condolences to the residents and farmers in the areas affected by the typhoon last summer, which were also declared special disaster zones by the government," adding, "Urban Nonghyups will also take an interest in farmers struggling due to COVID-19 and will not hesitate to participate and support direct sales of agricultural products and helping with labor."
