[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeollanam-do Hampyeong-gun announced on the 5th that the Hampyeong Natural Ecology Park Early Childhood Forest Experience Center has been officially registered as the 47th Early Childhood Forest Experience Center by the Western Regional Forest Service.
Accordingly, the county will receive 50% of the private consignment project cost and operating expenses for the Early Childhood Forest Experience Center from the national government.
The Early Childhood Forest Experience Center is an experiential education facility where preschool children can directly experience the various functions of the forest.
The Hampyeong Early Childhood Forest Experience Center, established on an area of 11,651㎡ within Hampyeong Natural Ecology Park, is equipped with a forest learning center, forest playground, and an ecological wetland area where wetland plants and insects can be observed.
In particular, educational facilities where children can directly observe animals and plants living in the forest, as well as experiential programs such as crafts using forest materials, are also operated.
The county plans to recruit institutions such as kindergartens and daycare centers annually in advance to operate regular forest experience programs.
In addition, a certified early childhood forest instructor, an expert in forest education, will be stationed at all times to operate various forest experience programs suitable for each season.
