Chosun Polytechnic University Receives Donation of Educational Drones and Laptops
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Chosun Institute of Science and Technology announced on the 5th that it received equipment for the advanced learning leading project, including drones and laptops.
The equipment donated by Spatial Information Co., Ltd. will be used to revitalize lifelong education vocational courses conducted by Chosun Institute of Science and Technology under the ‘2020 Junior College Innovation Support Project (Type 3)’.
The donated educational drone is one Terra (2-blade quadcopter, rotary wing), along with one RGB sensor (Survey3W) and one flight control laptop (Lenovo 81WE), valued at approximately 10 million KRW.
The equipment will be immediately used in the ‘Drone Aerial Photography and Video Content Production Course’ starting on the 25th.

Chosun Institute of Science and Technology President Cho Soon-gye said, “With the donated drones and other equipment, we can conduct lifelong education for local residents more professionally,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to fulfill our role as a hub university for regional vocational education and a lifelong vocational education institution for advanced learners by establishing plans to support adult learners through the development and operation of various educational programs linked to our university’s strengths.”
