Gyeongbuk Province Hosts 'Hwa(rang) Flea Market' in Gyeongju... Travel Concept for the 2030 Generation
From the 6th to 8th at Hoban Square, Bomun Tourist Complex... Cultural Tour 'HI! STORY Gyeongbuk' Event
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gyeongbuk Province announced on the 5th that it will hold the 'Hwa(rang) Flea Market' with flowers at Hoban Square in the Gyeongju Bomun Tourist Complex for three days from the 6th to the 8th.
This flea market, held in a comprehensive tourism and leisure area centered around Gyeongju Bomun Lake, which was designated as one of UNESCO Asia's top three heritage sites in 1979, reinterprets the youth and passion of the Silla Hwarang with 'flowers.' It was planned with a concept designed to suit the trendy travel courses of the 2030 generation these days.
At the flea market site, where 32 unique artists and sellers participate, anyone can enter for free without an invitation ticket. Various events will continue, such as 'Come with Hwa(rang),' where visitors carrying floral pattern points upon entry will receive flowers on a first-come, first-served basis.
During the three days of the flea market, romantic busking performances with enchanting tones and spectacular bubble shows will fill the Gyeongju Bomun Complex. Additionally, an emotional photo zone themed around flowers, the subject of this 'Hwa(rang) Market,' will be installed in the flower beds of Bomun Square.
Hosted by Gyeongsangbuk-do and Gyeongju City and organized by the Gyeongbuk Cultural Tourism Corporation, this flea market is part of the Gyeongbuk Province's three major cultural tourism promotion projects (Gyeongbuk Cultural Tour 'HI! STORY Gyeongbuk'). It is one of the events planned to allow tourists in their 20s and 30s to enjoy the local culture at major tourist sites in Gyeongju and Pohang.
