View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Gyeongsang National University and UNIST have signed an academic exchange agreement to promote lifelong education and collaborate in the fields of education, research, and social service.
At the signing ceremony held on the 4th at the UNIST University Headquarters, Gyeongsang National University was represented by President Kwon Soon-ki, Vice President for Research Jeong Woo-geon, Dean of Student Affairs Ahn Mi-jung, Director of Admissions Lee Kwang-ho, Director of Research Kang Sang-su, and Secretary General Choi Sung-yoo. UNIST was represented by President Lee Yong-hoon, Director of Research Kim Jin-young, Director of External Cooperation Lee Myung-in, Dean of Student Affairs Yoon Sae-ra, Director of Administration Choi Young-do, and Director of Research Support Shin Tae-joo.
Both universities shared the vision of contributing to national science and technology development as research-oriented universities and agreed to engage in practical exchanges through communication and cooperation based on the agreement.
Specifically, they agreed to actively cooperate in ▲ mutual exchange of faculty and staff ▲ student exchange and mutual credit recognition ▲ joint research and co-hosting academic conferences ▲ joint participation in domestic and international online and offline seminars ▲ mutual exchange of academic materials and information ▲ mutual use of libraries, seminar rooms, and practical training equipment.
President Kwon Soon-ki stated, "Gyeongsang National University and UNIST share the commonality of being research-oriented universities. We also have the shared goal of nurturing outstanding talents who will lead the development of national science and technology through close cooperation and communication."

UNIST President Lee Yong-hoon emphasized, "The Southeast region, densely populated with manufacturing industries, is the optimal place to transform into a smart industrial city in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
