According to the police on the 4th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Intelligent Crime Investigation Unit sent three people, including admission broker Jeong Mo (31), who are suspected of fraud and obstruction of business, to the prosecution without detention at the end of last month with a recommendation for indictment.
Jeong and his group are accused of receiving large sums of money from parents under the pretext of admission consulting and forging documents necessary for university admission, such as high school transcripts. Among the affected students, some were found to have their admission canceled after the document forgery was discovered post-admission.
