Opening of Inchun Art Hall with 103 Seats at Seoul Arts Center... Opening Commemorative Concert from 10th to 13th
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] The Seoul Arts Center will hold a concert from August 10 to 13 to commemorate the opening of the 103-seat Inchun Art Hall, which was completed on August 28 this year.
Inchun Art Hall was built following the 'Sponsorship Agreement for the Music Hall Rehearsal Room Theater Project' signed last July between the Seoul Arts Center and the Inchun Scholarship Foundation (Inchun Foundation). It is expected to meet the long-standing demand from music enthusiasts for a small theater.
Inchun Art Hall is located in the basement of the Music Hall and has 93 fixed seats and 10 movable seats. The close distance between the stage and the audience enhances intimacy between performers and spectators, and the relatively large stage area is expected to be utilized for various types of performances.
The Seoul Arts Center anticipates that Inchun Art Hall will accommodate diverse needs such as classical solo and ensemble concerts, competitions, master classes, lectures, and video screenings. They are currently accepting rental applications and plan to operate it in full scale starting next year.
Yoo In-taek, president of the Seoul Arts Center, said, "The opening, originally scheduled for the end of September, was postponed due to COVID-19. Since it is a small venue, we will cultivate it as a special space where audiences and artists can make eye contact and interact closely."
Tickets for the 'Inchun Art Hall Opening Concert' are priced at 30,000 KRW for all seats, with a 10-20% discount available for Seoul Arts Center members. Inquiries and reservations can be made through the Seoul Arts Center website, call center, and Interpark.
The 'Inchun Art Hall Opening Concert' will feature programs by actively performing domestic artists, starting with the Korea Festival Ensemble on the 10th, followed by flutist Lee Ye-rin and Ensemble Fl.ex, the Kim Ga-on Jazz Trio, and pianist Ahn Jong-do's recital.
