KOICA, Award Ceremony for Integrity Content Contest Targeting Local Staff at Overseas Offices
KOICA Calls for Integrity Content from 400 Local Staff at 49 Offices
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] KOICA announced on the 3rd that it held the '1st Integrity Content Contest for Local Staff at Overseas Offices' and an awards ceremony for about 400 local employees working at 44 overseas offices and 5 World Friends offices.
KOICA conducted an online integrity content contest for local employees from August 25 to September 20 to raise awareness of integrity at overseas offices worldwide and to foster an organizational culture of integrity.
The contest was divided into three categories: ▲Integrity Idea Proposals ▲3-minute videos ▲Webtoons, card news, and posters. Entries were accepted individually and by teams, and after judging, a total of 9 works (4 Excellence Awards, 5 Encouragement Awards) were selected from Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Iraq, Mongolia, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, and others.
The local staff team at the Sri Lanka office, which won the Excellence Award, produced a 3-minute video titled "Do You Know What Integrity Is?" The video featured interviews with ordinary local citizens such as motorcycle delivery workers, drivers, and office staff, highlighting the value and importance of integrity within the Sri Lanka office.
Mr. Thusitha, a local staff member at the Sri Lanka office, said, "While producing the video, I was able to seriously reflect on the meaning of integrity and realized how important integrity is in conducting work between countries."
Mr. Dilmurolod, a local staff member at the Uzbekistan office who won the Excellence Award by producing a 3-minute video on practicing integrity in daily life, said, "I want to promote the video on the Uzbekistan office's social media (SNS) and at events to show that integrity is not a difficult concept but something that can be practiced in everyday life."

KOICA plans to promote the winning works in English and local languages on the social media of each overseas office to contribute to establishing a culture of integrity in the international community beyond Korea. Based on this year's achievements, KOICA plans to expand the contest next year.
