[Asia Economy Reporter Song Hwajeong] Samsung Securities announced on the 2nd that it is conducting the '100 Dollar 100 Percent' event, which provides up to 100 dollars to customers who have no experience trading overseas stocks, until the end of this month.
This event provides investment support funds to customers who have no experience trading overseas stocks, and when these customers start trading overseas stocks online, they receive a congratulatory trading bonus based on the transaction amount.
To participate, customers who have not traded overseas stocks from January 1, 2015, to October 31, 2020, can apply for the event on the Samsung Securities website or the mobile app mPOP, and immediately receive 20 dollars deposited into their application account.
The 20 dollars deposited into the event account can be used to purchase U.S. stocks within 5 business days from the deposit date, and any unused balance of the event support amount will be automatically withdrawn after 6 business days.
Afterwards, if the customer trades overseas stocks online above a certain amount and meets all the step-by-step criteria, they can receive up to 80 dollars in three installments. By trading overseas stocks online for more than 1 million KRW by December 31, they receive 20 dollars; by trading more than 5 million KRW, they receive an additional 30 dollars totaling 50 dollars; and finally, by trading more than 10 million KRW, they receive an additional 30 dollars, receiving up to 80 dollars in January next year.

A Samsung Securities official said, "The first overseas stock support fund event, '100 Dollars is Worth a Thousand Views,' ended early due to more customer interest than expected," and added, "We will continue to actively provide overseas stock-related content and investment information."
