Jeongeup-si Captivates Attention with Unique Bench Installations Again This Year Following Last Year
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 30th that it has installed unique benches that citizens and tourists can use easily and conveniently.
The city installed 8 types of unique benches at 23 locations along a 1.8 km section of the Eupcheon riverside (from Jukrimgyo to Jeongdonggyo), providing spaces for rest and healing.
Last year, benches (17 types at 26 locations) were also installed in downtown Jungang-ro (Terminal Intersection to H Hotel), Naejangsan Culture Square, and Jeongeupsa Park.
The unique benches have offered tourists and citizens distinctive sights, and provided resting spaces for the elderly and other mobility-impaired individuals, receiving great responses according to the city.
In particular, the benches installed this year are equipped with solar modules, allowing them to generate electricity using solar power during the daytime, unlike the previous ones.
This electricity is used to illuminate night lighting installed on the benches, enabling citizens to use them conveniently and safely even at night.
