Lotte Mart Launches Exclusive Collaboration Products 'Jin Jjambbong Dumplings' and 'Open Sesame Ramen'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Mart is launching exclusive collaboration products.
On the 30th, Lotte Mart announced that it will sell ‘Yeollyeora Chamkkae Ramyeon,’ a combination of ‘Yeol Ramyeon’ and ‘Chamkkae Ramyeon,’ and ‘Jin Jjambbong Mandu,’ which combines ramyeon and dumplings.
‘Yeollyeora Chamkkae Ramyeon’ maximizes the strengths of ‘Yeol Ramyeon’ and ‘Chamkkae Ramyeon,’ both of which have consistently been popular products in the ramyeon category. ‘Jin Jjambbong Mandu’ is made by putting ingredients found in Jin Jjambbong Ramyeon, such as pork, squid, cabbage, and onion, into dumplings.
In particular, these two products were selected through an internal employee survey at Lotte Mart as products suitable for collaboration, and development began with the respective food company in June, leading to their release.
To commemorate the launch, Lotte Mart is selling ‘Ottogi Yeollyeora Chamkkae Ramyeon (4-pack)’ for 2,980 KRW and ‘Ottogi Jin Jjambbong Mandu (396g*2)’ at a 1,000 KRW discount for L.Point members, priced at 7,480 KRW, at all Lotte Mart stores.
Meanwhile, the popularity of unique collaboration products is increasing. At Lotte Mart, sales of the products known as ‘Jjapaguri’ through the movie ‘Parasite’ last February grew by about 50% compared to the same period last year. The food company released a product combining the two items, selling approximately 70,000 units in one month.
