On the 30th, LG Electronics announced that it recently signed a business agreement with Dongwon F&B at the Signature Kitchen Suite showroom located in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
Through this agreement, customers using the LG Dios Gwangpa Oven can cook Dongwon F&B ready-to-eat meals in the optimal way by using the AI Cook function. The target foods include a total of 23 items such as ham, dumplings, and porridge, which can also be purchased from the store in the LG ThinQ app. There are plans to further expand the target items in the future.
Customers can use the AI Cook function by linking the Gwangpa Oven equipped with Wi-Fi and the LG ThinQ app on their smartphones.
After scanning the barcode on the packaging of Dongwon F&B ready-to-eat meals with the ThinQ app’s camera and pressing the ‘Send to Oven’ button on the smartphone screen, information such as cooking time and temperature is sent from the cloud server to the Dios Gwangpa Oven. Then, by placing the ready-to-eat meal in the Gwangpa Oven and pressing the start button, the meal is automatically cooked.
Previously, LG Electronics first applied AI Cook to Pulmuone’s ready-to-eat meals in September last year.
The LG Dios Gwangpa Oven has nine cooking functions including oven, air fryer, grill, microwave, and fermenter. Customers only need this one product without purchasing other cooking appliances, allowing more efficient use of kitchen space.
The multi-clean function of the Gwangpa Oven is also an advantage. This function offers various options such as deodorization, steam cleaning, residual water removal, and drying, which are useful for cleaning the cooking space inside the product.
