Boseong-gun Supplies Local Waterworks to Hoicheon-myeon Area Using Village Waterworks
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 29th, Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that from November, local tap water will be preferentially supplied to Seodang-ri and Hwajuk-ri areas in Hoecheon-myeon, which currently use village tap water.
According to Boseong-gun on the 29th, the county has been investing 15 billion KRW since 2018 to supply local tap water throughout Hoecheon-myeon, aiming to complete the 'Hoecheon District Rural Living Water Development Project' by 2022.
The Seodang-ri and Hwajuk-ri areas in Hoecheon-myeon, where local tap water will be preferentially supplied this time, currently use groundwater and valley water as village tap water, causing inconvenience to residents due to depletion of water sources and deterioration of water quality.
Accordingly, Boseong-gun plans to newly install 9 km of drainage pipelines and 3 km of supply pipes to preferentially supply local tap water to Seodang-ri and Hwajuk-ri areas, providing clean water to 299 households (500 people) in Seodang and Hwajuk-ri starting in November.
