Healthy Desserts Made with 'Boseong Rice'... Increasing the Potential of Agricultural Processing Startups!
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Boseong County announced on the 28th that the dessert cafe ‘Deungbul Dagwajeom,’ utilizing local agricultural products, opened on the 26th through the ‘Small-scale Startup Technology Support Project for Farmers.’
‘Deungbul Dagwajeom,’ established with the help of the ‘Small-scale Startup Technology Support Project for Farmers,’ received support from the Boseong County Agricultural Technology Center for △development of processed products using local agricultural products, △startup consulting, and △facility remodeling and processing equipment.
Located inside the Boseong Daily Market, ‘Deungbul Dagwajeom’ offers three types of baked glutinous rice cakes using local agricultural products such as green tea and sweet pumpkin, as well as various desserts featuring Boseong’s specialties like matcha milk and mugwort milk.
Additionally, the cafe has commercialized three types of rice bakery products made with Boseong rice (walnut pie, pecan pie, orange macadamia) and fruit handmade syrup beverages (kiwi syrup, jujube ginger tea, etc.) made from ingredients grown in Boseong, available as dessert package products.
Boseong County has focused this year on developing dessert products using ‘Boseong rice’ as the main ingredient to promote the consumption of local agricultural products and increase added value through product processing. They are also establishing a system to sell these products not only offline but also through an online smart store.
