Yoon Hee-seok, spokesperson for the People Power Party, stated in a commentary that day, "He only emphasized the passage of the three economic laws and the establishment of the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials, pressuring the opposition, but gave no response to the ten issues raised by the People Power Party," and added, "Regarding the budget proposal, he only repeated a distorted perception of reality, his characteristic blaming others, and pleasant-sounding words."
Spokesperson Yoon pointed out, "They proposed all kinds of corporate regulation bills but said the role of companies is important for quality jobs. Yet, they say they will continue to spend taxpayers' money next year to directly create jobs," and asked, "Where is this government's policy heading?"
Yoon also said, "Despite the worst job indicators, they are shifting all responsibility to COVID-19," and criticized, "They criticized large-scale national projects and SOC projects of past administrations, but now they say they will pour a whopping 160 trillion won into the 'Korean New Deal.' The seemingly plausible rhetoric of a 'people-centered development strategy' and 'regional balance' is nothing but sweet election-oriented populism."
Yoon further criticized, "Even though the real estate market is in chaos due to the hasty enactment of the three lease laws, they say they will early stabilize those laws, making it seem that the people's housing stability has disappeared into the distance," and pointed out, "While remaining silent about North Korea's atrocities that executed our citizens, the mere cry for 'the people's safe life' is painfully hollow."

Yoon concluded, "We have confirmed the painful reality that the awareness of the president and government is too far removed from the people. The damage will be borne entirely by the people," and said, "The People Power Party will thoroughly and meticulously verify the 2021 budget proposal solely from the people's perspective."
