The ‘Parent Academic Advancement Academy’ helps high school parents understand the overall college entrance system, establish entrance strategies according to each university’s early and regular admission guidelines, and prepare for comprehensive student records, supporting successful college planning for examinees and parents facing the 2021 college entrance exams.
Since its launch last year, the Parent Academic Advancement Academy, now in its fifth session, invites college entrance strategy experts from the Yeongdeungpo University Admission Information Center each time, generously providing accumulated know-how and information from years of experience in the education field.
This 5th session will be held once a week from November 4 to 25, consisting of a total of four sessions.
Classes will be conducted as small in-person lectures for two hours from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Self-Directed Learning Center’s main lecture hall on the first floor of the Yeongdeungpo-gu Office annex building.
The curriculum covers: ▲Session 1 - Key points of the 2021-2022 college entrance policies ▲Session 2 - Understanding early admission ▲Session 3 - Understanding comprehensive student record admissions and managing school life records ▲Session 4 - Understanding regular admission.
Parents of high school students residing in the area who wish to enroll can apply through the Yeongdeungpo University Admission Information Center’s main phone line or website.
The application period is until November 2, and 30 participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The course is completely free, and those who complete all four sessions will receive a certificate of completion for the Academic Advancement Academy.
Parents who participated in previous sessions said that despite the lectures being conducted online, they found the information and materials related to college entrance preparation very useful and helpful.
Meanwhile, since its opening in October 2014, the University Admission Information Center has been highly praised by parents and students for offering free special lectures on entrance exams and study methods, 1:1 customized counseling, study guidance programs, consulting for early and regular admissions, and tailored individual consultations.
Additionally, this year, online consulting through the center’s main website and career and academic consulting experts visiting schools directly have been newly introduced, enabling students and parents to prepare for their careers and academic advancement safely and systematically without concerns about COVID-19.
Consultations are available to any high school student and parent residing in Yeongdeungpo-gu, and applications can be made through the University Admission Information Center’s website.
