Sangmyung University to Collaborate with AI Pianist... Concert Held on the 29th
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Sangmyung University announced on the 23rd that on the 29th, a concert featuring an artificial intelligence (AI) pianist performing alongside the Sangmyung University College of Culture and Arts Department of Music Orchestra and guest performers will be held at Gyedang Hall on the Seoul campus.
This is an attempt to introduce AI in the field of culture and arts. Several performance record data left by the master pianist Rubin Stein during his lifetime are restored using AI technology and reproduced on stage through an automated piano performance. The orchestra will accompany accordingly. The orchestra consists of about 50 members from the Sangmyung University College of Culture and Arts Department of Music Orchestra and guest performers.
The piece to be performed that day is Tchaikovsky's piano concerto, "Piano Concerto No. 1 in Bb Minor, Op. 23." The live performance of the concert will be recorded and released online on November 11.
