The 7th Yoon Hoo-jung Unification Forum on Inter-Korean Relations and Unification in the Pandemic Era
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Ewha Womans University announced on the 23rd that it will hold the 7th Yun Hoo-jung Unification Forum on the 27th at 2 PM on campus. The forum will be broadcast live on YouTube.
The Yun Hoo-jung Unification Forum was established as a platform for unification discussions when former honorary president Yun Hoo-jung, Korea's first female constitutional scholar and the 10th president of Ewha Womans University, donated 1.5 billion KRW starting in 2013 based on her belief that "the most urgent task in our society is overcoming division."
Starting with the 1st forum in 2014, this year's 7th forum is organized to hear from experts well-versed in medicine, political diplomacy, international regional studies, and media studies on the theme of "Inter-Korean Relations and Unification in the Pandemic Era."

The event will open with Kim Seok-hyang, director of Ewha Womans University Institute for Unification Studies (Department of North Korean Studies), as the moderator, followed by a greeting from President Kim Hye-sook and a keynote speech by Choi Jang-jip, a representative Korean scholar and professor emeritus of political diplomacy at Korea University. From 3 PM, Kim Heung-gyu, professor of political diplomacy at Ajou University, will present the main topic under the moderation of Ewha Womans University Vice President for Medical Affairs and Medical Center Director Yoo Kyung-ha. Subsequently, domestic experts including Professor Park Won-gon of Handong University, Professor Ha Eun-hee of Ewha Womans University, and Professor Kim Yong-chan of Yonsei University will participate in an in-depth panel discussion.
