Shin Dong-geun: "Yoon's response is arrogant... He won't do well even if he goes into politics"
Inappropriate as a Witness from Supervised Agency... Was the Statement Aimed at Politicians?
People Dislike Officials from Power Institutions... However, Raising the Issue of Resignation Is Inappropriate
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jin-young] Shin Dong-geun, a member of the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee from the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's 'determined answers' during the National Assembly inspection on the 23rd, saying, "His arrogant responses failed to resolve the public's suspicions."
In an interview with CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show' on the morning of the same day, Rep. Shin said, "The remarks made yesterday (at the inspection) were inappropriate for a witness from the inspected agency."
He pointed out, "It is unacceptable to respond to a lawmaker's questions by saying things like 'That's ridiculous' or 'Are you joking?' just because you don't like the questions," adding, "The Prosecutor General said he is not a subordinate of the Minister of Justice, so rather than addressing pressing issues like Lime and Optimus, his remarks rather heated up the inspection session."
He continued, "I felt that his remarks seemed to be aimed more at politicians," and added, "I thought he might enter politics after his term ends. Since there are no strong presidential candidates in the opposition, this perspective is understandable."
Rep. Shin emphasized, "However, just like former Future United Party leader Hwang Kyo-ahn, the public generally does not favor those from power institutions," explaining, "Being part of a power institution itself implies a position of dominance rather than dedication and sacrifice."

However, he was firm regarding Prosecutor General Yoon's resignation issue. He stated, "It is inappropriate to raise the issue of the Prosecutor General's resignation," and added, "The basic principle is that the President allows the Prosecutor General to complete his term unless there are special issues such as personal financial corruption or other significant problems."
