Kim Yongjip, Gwangju City Council Chairman, Joins 'Essential Workers Appreciation Relay Campaign'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Kim Yong-jip, Chairman of the Gwangju Metropolitan Council, participated on the 21st in the ‘Thank You, Essential Workers’ campaign, delivering messages of gratitude and encouragement to face-to-face workers.
The ‘Thank You, Essential Workers’ campaign supports essential workers in healthcare, care services, environmental sanitation, transportation, and delivery industries who continue to quietly provide face-to-face services despite the prolonged COVID-19 crisis.
Participating in the campaign upon the nomination of Song Jong-wook, President of Gwangju Bank, Chairman Kim Yong-jip expressed his thanks to the council building’s security guards, guides, and volunteer fever checkers, continuing the campaign.
Chairman Kim said, “I sincerely thank all essential workers who have devoted themselves to their roles without change even amid the unprecedented prolonged infectious disease crisis,” and added, “As the faithful representatives of the citizens, the Gwangju Metropolitan Council will continue to do its best in legislative activities to revive the stagnant local economy and ensure the stable operation of the local quarantine system.”
