Jeju Coast Guard, Conducts Second Half of 2020 Rescue Capability Enhancement Training
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] The Jeju Regional Maritime Police Agency announced on the 20th that it will conduct education and training to enhance ship fire suppression and rescue capabilities targeting police substations, the frontline departments of field operations, until October 30.
According to Jeju Maritime Police, due to the recent frequent ship fire accidents and the continuous occurrence of large-scale casualties, they plan to focus on essential education and training such as life rescue, first aid, and fire suppression to strengthen and maintain a constant ship fire response system and protect the lives and property of the public.
In addition, they will continuously conduct education and training to improve on-site accident response capabilities, including mastering approaches to dangerous areas in coastal waters by identifying hazardous terrain in advance, operating new coastal rescue boats according to worsening weather and sea conditions, life rescue, and ship fire suppression methods.
