[2020 National Audit] Kamco President Holds Multiple Homes in Gangnam and Sejong
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] The issue of property ownership by Moon Sung-yu, president of Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO), who owns multiple houses, was also pointed out as a problem during the National Assembly audit on the 20th.
On the 20th, Park Yong-jin, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, pointed out that although President Moon spends more time in Seoul than at the Busan headquarters, he resides in a luxury official residence worth over 1 billion won, and furthermore, he is a multi-homeowner with properties in Gangnam, Sejong, and Jeju Island.
Rep. Park said, "Out of a total of 213 commuting days, President Moon spent 106 days in Seoul and 96 days at the Busan headquarters, so he worked more days in Seoul, but his residence is a luxury official residence in Busan," adding, "Moreover, he owns two houses in Seocho-gu, Seoul, one in Gangnam, and one each in Jeju Island and Sejong, making him a multi-homeowner."
He criticized, "The head of a public institution is facing the issue of owning multiple houses, which is inconsistent with the government's housing policy," and added, "Not only that, but there is no record at all of the vehicle operation log used during his work in Seoul."
