October 31 'Korea SSG Day'... Shinsegae's 17 Affiliates All Out
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] The Shinsegae Group’s ‘Korea SSG Day,’ which attracted 6 million visitors last year, is returning.
Shinsegae Group announced that it has designated the 31st as Korea SSG Day, with 17 affiliates participating in the event centered around SSG.com, including E-Mart, Shinsegae Department Store, Shinsegae Property, Shinsegae International, Shinsegae TV Shopping, and Casamia.
SSG.com will kick off the SSG Day event starting at midnight on the 26th. This year, SSG.com is collaborating with Starbucks to surprise customers with the early morning delivery cooler bag ‘Albi Bag’ as a special event. This Starbucks limited edition Albi Bag can be applied for when purchasing over a certain amount on SSG.com.
A Shinsegae Group official said, “This year, we have prepared unprecedented discounts and reward benefits through online channels such as SSG.com and SI Village,” adding, “We will also make every effort to ensure a safe shopping environment at offline stores like E-Mart and Shinsegae Department Store by strictly adhering to quarantine measures and social distancing guidelines.”
Meanwhile, the teaser advertisement for ‘Korea SSG Day’ was unveiled on the official YouTube channel and Instagram at 10 a.m. on the 20th.
The key message conveyed by this SSG Day teaser ad is ‘Get benefits by picking up and picking up (Jupjup).’ The newly coined term ‘Jupjup’ was used to mean ‘easily obtaining discounted products,’ adding a fun element. Since it is exposed on social networking services (SNS), the ad features a catchy melody and easy-to-follow movements repeated to make the short 15-second exposure memorable. It also carries the meaning of safely experiencing the ‘joy of shopping’ that had been forgotten in the tiring daily life.
To commemorate the release of the teaser ad video, Shinsegae Group is holding a special event starting from the 20th. For the first time, SSG.com will sell cars online through pre-reservation, offering them at discounted prices compared to offline stores. Special conditions allow immediate delivery without waiting for models such as the ‘Mercedes-Benz Maybach S560’ and ‘Ferrari 812 GTS.’ Additionally, camping cars, trailers, and yachts will be introduced for the first time.
Also, until the 22nd, E-Mart’s mobile app will hold a ‘Popular Electronics Grab Chance Event.’ Through a lottery, 55 winners will have the opportunity to purchase items such as AirPods Pro and Nintendo Switch at discounts of up to 55%.
