58 New Confirmed Cases... Double Digits for Five Consecutive Days (Update)

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in South Korea increased by 58 on the 20th. The number of new confirmed cases recorded double digits for the fifth consecutive day.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters (CDCH) announced that as of midnight on that day, the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases rose by 58 from the previous day’s midnight to 25,333.
Regarding the infection routes of the new confirmed cases, 41 were locally transmitted and 17 were imported from overseas.
Among the locally transmitted cases, 22 were in Gyeonggi, 11 in Seoul, 3 in Incheon, 2 in Gangwon, 1 in Chungnam, 1 in Daejeon, and 1 in Busan.
Of the 17 imported cases, 3 were identified during quarantine upon entry. The rest tested positive while in self-quarantine at their residences or temporary living facilities in various regions: 6 in Gyeonggi, 2 in Gyeongbuk, 2 in Chungbuk, 1 in Busan, 1 in Gangwon, 1 in Chungnam, and 1 in Gyeongnam.
