Tourism Organization to Recruit 'K-Friends' for Promoting Korean Tourism Starting from the 20th
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 19th that it will begin recruiting members for the large-scale online supporters group "K-Friends" to promote Korean culture and tourism content starting from the 20th.
K-Friends operates with the goal of sustaining interest in Korean tourism through non-face-to-face promotional activities and eventually attracting inbound tourism. The Tourism Organization aims to recruit members worldwide, targeting 10,000 members this year, 50,000 by 2023, and 100,000 by 2025.
Anyone who is a foreigner interested in Korea with at least 100 followers on social networking services (SNS) can participate. Membership registration is available through the official website (www.k-friends.net).

Hwang Seung-hyun, Director of the International Tourism Office at the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, "In the future, through collaboration with related organizations such as Korean language institutes and the Sejong Institute Foundation, we will utilize K-Friends as a nationwide Korean tourism promotion model."
