View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon] Professor Kim Geun-sik of Gyeongnam National University (Chairman of the People Power Party Songpa-byeong District Committee) criticized Choi Kang-wook, leader of the Open Democratic Party, who said "Even if a dog barks, the train runs" regarding being prosecuted for spreading false information during the general election period, on the 16th, saying he is "trying to follow the path of Cho Kuk (former Minister of Justice)."
On the same day, Professor Kim wrote on his Facebook, "The appearance of justifying one's own corruption and allegations by putting forward the ghost of prosecutorial reform, which has no substance, is exactly the same from beginning to end," pointing this out.
He criticized, "Cho Kuk, who was indicted and is standing tall while criticizing 'political prosecution,' and Choi Kang-wook (leader), who was indicted and still compares Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-youl to a dog and criticizes him, are both delusional and equally absurd."
He continued, "Cho Kuk, who sues reporters one by one during the trial and even refuses to testify by invoking the right to remain silent, and arrogant Representative Choi, who says he will leave early due to work during the trial, are truly alike," he criticized.
Professor Kim added, "Since Cho Kuk elevates himself like a martyr dedicated on the altar of prosecutorial reform, Representative Choi, who follows Cho Kuk, will probably finish the 'following Cho Kuk' act by playing the victim of political prosecution if found guilty," adding, "I am worried that, like Governor Lee Jae-myung of Gyeonggi Province, the Supreme Court might overturn the guilty verdict for false information disclosure with forced logic."

Also, Representative Choi said, "Someone who claimed to be a 'constitutionalist' is ignoring the constitution and laws," and questioned, "I believe at least they remember what they said. Didn't they say that if a prosecutor has investigative power and retaliates, then that is not a prosecutor?"
He continued, "It is pathetic and pitiful to see their true nature revealed so futilely and blatantly," and added, "As always, I will do my best in my place. Even if a dog barks, the train runs. It seems the destination is not far away."
On the previous day (15th), the Public Investigation Division 2 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Kwon Sang-dae) indicted Leader Choi without detention on charges of false information disclosure under the Public Official Election Act. Elected officials lose their seats if they are sentenced to a fine of 1 million won or more for violating election laws.
