Gwanak-gu Conducts COVID-19 Preemptive Testing at 333 Door-to-Door Sales Businesses and Daycare Centers
Seoul City Collaborates to Install and Operate Mobile Preemptive Testing Site at Miju Harvardtel (1794 Nambusunhwan-ro)... Preemptive Testing for 1,997 Individuals at 222 Local Daycare Centers
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwanak-gu (District Mayor Park Junhee) is initiating proactive COVID-19 testing for a total of 333 locations, including local door-to-door sales companies and daycare centers.
Due to the recent increase in asymptomatic COVID-19 infections with unknown transmission routes and ongoing small-scale cluster infections in door-to-door sales companies and daycare centers, the district aims to block the spread and transmission of COVID-19 through proactive testing of these facilities.
First, in cooperation with Seoul City, the district will set up and operate a mobile proactive testing site at the entrance of Miju Harvardtel (1794 Nambusunhwan-ro), where many door-to-door sales companies are concentrated, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the 15th and 16th.
Proactive testing will be conducted targeting approximately 300 office workers and visitors from a total of 111 offices within Miju Harvardtel, as well as surrounding door-to-door sales companies. The district has also actively promoted the testing location and schedule through flyers and disaster text messages.
Additionally, from the 12th to the 24th, the district will independently conduct proactive comprehensive testing for daycare center workers in the area over 12 days. Testing is being carried out at public health center screening clinics for 1,997 workers from a total of 222 daycare centers, with testing schedules and personnel assigned and notified in advance by each daycare center.
All tests will be conducted over a short period targeting a large number of people, using pooled testing methods to detect cases early. In the event of confirmed cases, measures will be taken according to the response manual, and continuous management will be implemented.
Meanwhile, since the 12th, the district has deployed Hope Job personnel to high-risk multi-use buildings around Nambusunhwan-ro to thoroughly inspect and enforce basic quarantine rules, promote compliance, disinfect, and control visitors.
