Changwon City Opens 'e-Sports Academy'... Recruiting First Students

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyunju] Changwon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 13th that it will open an 'eSports Academy' and recruit its first students to expand the eSports culture base in the region.
The application deadline is until the 21st. Changwon City explained that the academy was established to meet the increasing demand for eSports culture in the region, following the '1st Changwon Mayor's Cup National Amateur eSports Tournament' held in June.
The academy will be held in three sessions from the 24th to December 6th, targeting middle and high school students and university students residing in Changwon, featuring ▲League of Legends ▲Battlegrounds ▲KartRider. The tuition is free.
Education will be conducted at the Changwon Science Experience Center, with each session consisting of a 4-day course of 2 hours per day. The number of recruits is 20 per session, totaling 60. Industry professionals including former pro gamers will be invited to provide ▲professional training to improve game skills and concentration ▲tips to enhance control skills ▲individual weakness counseling.
