Kim Young-sun, Gwangju Seo-gu Council Member: "Most Residents Unaware of 'Free Collection of Discarded Home Appliances'"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Kim Young-seon, a member of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Council, urged Seo-gu to actively promote the 'Free Collection of Waste Home Appliances' system.
On the 12th, during a 5-minute speech at the 1st plenary session of the 289th extraordinary meeting of the Seo-gu Council, Councilor Kim said, "Although a collection and transportation system has been established to enable free collection of waste home appliances, I feel a heavy responsibility as a representative of Seo-gu upon seeing that this good system is not being utilized well."
He continued, "By providing a service where collection workers visit homes directly to collect heavy waste home appliances, residents do not have to transport them to designated locations themselves, which can resolve the difficulties residents face when disposing of large waste home appliances," emphasizing, "However, unfortunately, most residents are not well aware of this system."
