Chosun University to Operate 'Blended Classes' Starting from the 27th
Mixed Face-to-Face and Online Classes... Online Midterm Exams in Principle Until the 26th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun University announced on the 12th that, following the easing of 'social distancing' to level 1, classes will be conducted from the 27th using a mixed method of ▲face-to-face ▲non-face-to-face ▲blended instruction as originally planned.
Blended instruction is a teaching method that combines face-to-face and non-face-to-face approaches.
However, midterm exams concluding by the 26th will primarily be conducted as non-face-to-face online tests, but depending on the nature of the course, from the 27th, exams will be replaced by face-to-face tests or assignments.
From the 27th, Chosun University will conduct experimental, practical, and skill-based subjects primarily through face-to-face classes, and required liberal arts courses such as College English, Everyday English, Thinking and Expression 2, and Freshman Seminar will also be operated as face-to-face classes.
Required major courses will be conducted either face-to-face or in a blended format, while required liberal arts courses other than those conducted face-to-face (College English, Everyday English, Thinking and Expression 2, Freshman Seminar), as well as major electives, liberal arts electives, teacher training, and free electives will be operated through non-face-to-face or blended methods.
Chosun University plans to maintain thorough on-campus quarantine measures even during the period of eased social distancing.
