Moon Jun-yong "Gwak Sang-do harms people through reckless abuse of power"
On the afternoon of the 2nd of last month, at the plenary meeting of the National Assembly Steering Committee held at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, Kwon Sang-do, a member of the People Power Party, is questioning Noh Young-min, Chief of Staff to the President, regarding President Moon Jae-in's farmland acquisition status.

On the morning of the 12th, at the early countermeasure meeting of the National Assembly audit held at the National Assembly, Rep. Gwak said, "There is a staff member in the Blue House dedicated to the president's relatives. Even the Blue House staff know who summoned Yoo Ja-eun, chairman of Konkuk University, as a witness to the Education Committee's audit," he said.
Rep. Gwak criticized, "The witness was summoned by opposition party members and kept waiting at the audit venue based on baseless speculation and fictional premises, leading to all kinds of criticism. Yet, until this time today, no apology has been made to the person involved."
Previously, Moon Joon-yong and Rep. Gwak had a heated exchange on social media over the issue of Chairman Yoo's witness appearance.
On the 8th, Moon posted on his Facebook, "Gwak Sang-do is harming people through habitual and indiscriminate abuse of power," and claimed, "Rep. Gwak summoned the chairman of the university where I am a part-time lecturer to the National Assembly audit."

Just because you are the president's son, you should not defame an opposition party lawmaker with absurd claims," and rebutted, "At the Education Ministry audit the day before yesterday, I requested the chairman of Konkuk University, who appeared as a witness, to submit 'Moon Joon-yong's part-time lecturer evaluation materials.' Regarding this, Moon's public statements are misleading, so I want to clarify."
He continued, "The chairman of Konkuk University was summoned as a witness due to the necessity of Democratic Party lawmakers and was waiting at the audit venue accordingly. Since he was already appearing as a witness, I simply requested the submission of 'Moon's materials.' It is not true that the chairman was summoned to the audit because of Moon's case," he explained.
According to the list of witnesses and reference persons for the Education Committee audit, Democratic Party lawmakers Seo Dong-yong and Kim Cheol-min applied for Chairman Yoo to appear as a witness regarding Konkuk University's 12 billion won investment loss in Optimus Asset Management.
Rep. Gwak said, "I hope he does not delude himself into thinking he is a great person. This is an opposition lawmaker's effort to check whether the fairness President Moon mentioned is properly functioning on the ground," and added, "Is it uncomfortable that an opposition lawmaker is verifying the president's son enjoying 'dad's chance'? When President Moon's term ends, that will also end, so until then, I hope he refrains from such behavior."
Later, on the 10th, Moon posted on his Facebook, "I was mistaken about some parts. I apologize," and said, "Let's continue to play fair."
Meanwhile, Cho Soo-jin, a member of the People Power Party, criticized Moon Joon-yong, asking, "Is the president's son an active politician?"
