Kamco Opens Onbid Centers in Six Regions Including the Seoul Metropolitan Area to Provide Integrated Customer Services
Introduction of VR Content Allowing Virtual Tours of Auction Properties
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Onbid, the public asset disposal system operated by Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO), announced on the 12th that it will open and operate 'Onbid Centers' in six regional hubs: Seoul, Gyeonggi, Daegu, Jeonbuk, Gyeongnam, and Gangwon.
The 'Onbid Center' provides integrated services such as consultation and information search to help customers who are not familiar with the online environment easily and conveniently participate in Onbid auctions.
The centers offer Onbid usage guidance and consultation services including ▲membership registration ▲item search ▲auction participation and result confirmation, and plan to operate a mock bidding system so customers can experience the entire asset disposal and bidding process as if it were real.
Additionally, KAMCO plans to introduce and operate a '360˚ VR content' service that applies virtual reality (VR) technology to Onbid information, allowing users to check auction items in a three-dimensional online virtual space without visiting the site. The '360˚ VR content' will initially start with KAMCO’s public auction items and gradually expand to items from other public institutions.
