According to Daejeon City on the 12th, three children (Daejeon cases 392 to 394) and four teachers and staff members (Daejeon cases 395 to 398) at a daycare center located in Sangdae-dong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, tested positive for COVID-19.
The daycare center is the same one attended by Daejeon case 389, who was confirmed positive the previous day. On the previous day, seven family members of Daejeon case 389 (Daejeon cases 385 to 391) were confirmed positive in the region.
It has been confirmed that the family gathered for a meal together during the Chuseok holiday on the 3rd.

A city official stated, "It is presumed that the infection through family gatherings during the Chuseok holiday led to the cluster outbreak at the daycare center," adding, "A detailed epidemiological investigation is currently underway targeting the confirmed cases."
