Jongno-gu 'Happy Stories Because We Are Family' Contest Announcement
Family Happiness Story Contest Open Until November 4... Theme: "Two Are Happier Than One, Three Are Happier Than Two" Celebrating the Value of Family... Accepting Video and Webtoon Submissions in Line with the New Media Era
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jongno-gu (Mayor Kim Young-jong) is holding the "Happy Stories Because We Are Family" contest until November 4th to overcome the low birthrate issue.
In line with the new media era, the contest invites submissions in video (UCC) content format to communicate the theme "Two are happier than one, and three are happier than two," emphasizing the importance of family. Entries can be in the form of videos or webtoons.
Videos can be submitted in any free format such as documentaries, dramas, commercials, animations, music videos, or campaign videos. Webtoons can be submitted in any genre as long as they are in comic format.
The themes include ▲happy moments of multi-child families ▲lovable scenes of our children in daily life ▲fun or meaningful moments with siblings ▲touching moments experienced only by parents, and generally works that awaken awareness of the importance of family, children, and overcoming the low birthrate.
Anyone can participate regardless of age, from children who enjoy filming videos to teenagers and adults familiar with using smartphones.
Additionally, there is no regional restriction, but the Jongno-gu logo must be included at the end of the work. The logo can be downloaded from the district office website.
Each person can submit up to two works. Submission can be done directly on the district office website without any additional documents or explanations, or by emailing the title with "Contest" to the Women and Family Division contact email (rany@mail.jongno.go.k).
The district will comprehensively evaluate originality, usability, and completeness of the works and announce the winners on November 30th via the district office website and individual notifications.
Prizes include 1,000,000 KRW for the best video (1 winner), 500,000 KRW for the best webtoon (1 winner), and a total of 10 winners per category receiving awards ranging from 100,000 KRW to 1,000,000 KRW. Additionally, the first 100 participants excluding prize winners will receive a mobile gift certificate worth 10,000 KRW.
For more details, refer to the announcement on the district office website or contact the Women and Family Division's Childbirth and Multicultural Support Team.
