At the shipment ceremony, two 40 FT containers worth approximately USD 310,000 were shipped to Samtong Vina Co., Ltd. in Hanoi, Vietnam, containing 8,200 boxes of wild ginseng concentrate, 3,072 boxes of wild ginseng extract, and 2,700 boxes of wild ginseng candy.
Secondary shipments worth about USD 450,000 are scheduled to be shipped around December.
An official from the county stated, "This export is a result of overseas marketing efforts amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, which has caused many difficulties for domestic and international exporters and wild ginseng farmers. It has also further raised awareness of wild ginseng as a health functional food."
