Changwon National University Student Lee Hyun-joo Wins Grand Prize at the 1st KT CS UniVenture Competition

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Changwon National University announced on the 8th that student Lee Hyun-joo (Master's program in Cultural Convergence Technology) won the grand prize at the '1st KT CS UniVenture Competition' held to discover outstanding prospective entrepreneurs.
The competition, hosted by KT CS, a KT group company specializing in customer service, the largest in Korea, and co-organized by the Daejeon Economic and Trade Promotion Agency, was held for the first time to select excellent youth business ideas and nurture them into venture companies.
The finals were held online due to COVID-19, and a total of 12 teams who advanced to the finals fiercely competed in a business presentation-style judging.
As a result of the judging, the Quicks team (including Lee Hyun-joo and one other student from Changwon National University) presented the idea of a 'Marketing Platform Supporting Small Business Owners' and won the grand prize. The winning team will receive incubation support including up to 100 million KRW in startup funds over six months through KT CS's prospective in-house venture program.

Yoo Ji-yeon, head of the Department of Cultural Technology at Changwon National University, said, “In a situation where employment opportunities have become narrower than before due to COVID-19, this award, which laid the foundation for startup opportunities with innovative ideas, is expected to serve as a model for students' new challenges.”
