Missing Middle School Student at Busan Dadaepo Beach Found Dead After Three Days

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-eun] A middle school student, A, who went missing while playing in the water at Busan Dadaepo Beach on the 5th, was found dead after three days. This brings the total number of middle school student deaths in this water accident to two.
The Busan Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced that at around 6:27 a.m. on the 8th, they discovered A's body at the midpoint of the beach in Dadaepo, Saha-gu, Busan.
This was three days after the fire department and police began search operations.
A representative from the Busan Fire and Disaster Headquarters explained, "It appears that A's body, which was underwater, floated to the surface over time."
The Coast Guard and fire authorities deployed underwater search robots, drones, and helicopters, dividing the Dadaepo area into three zones to expand the search range. With the search for the missing person concluded, the Coast Guard plans to conduct a full investigation into the cause of the accident.
The accident occurred when middle school students, who had finished their online remote classes, entered the closed beach.
Ten middle school students from Saha-gu, Busan, visited the beach, and among the seven who entered the water, six were rescued except for A. However, one of the rescued later died during treatment.
