Gwangju Veterans Affairs Office Holds 'Ontact Corporate Meeting'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Regional Veterans Office (Director Im Seonghyun) announced that it held an "Ontact (Online Contact) Corporate Meeting" on the 7th in celebration of Veterans Week.
The Ontact corporate meeting is a non-face-to-face meeting using an online video conferencing app, held in a situation where in-person events cannot be continued due to COVID-19.
It is a new type of event aimed at maintaining and strengthening relationships with companies.
This meeting was successfully held online, overcoming regional limitations, with the participation of about 30 companies and organizations from Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk, including GOC Co., Ltd., a global small giant specializing in 5G optical cables, and the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters, a partner organization.
The event included watching promotional videos to raise awareness among companies and the public so that veterans who have served the country and people can settle stably in society, as well as guidance on corporate employment support policies.
A representative from the Gwangju Veterans Office Gwangju Veterans Support Center said, “We aim to help discover suitable jobs for veterans through active corporate-friendly activities such as holding online and offline meetings in accordance with COVID-19 conditions.”
