Gwangju City Council Green New Deal Special Committee Holds Public-Private-Industry-Academia-Research-Government Roundtable Discussion
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The Green New Deal Special Committee of the Gwangju Metropolitan Council (Chairman Kim Gwang-ran) and Gwangju City announced on the 7th that they held a "Roundtable Discussion for Gwangju as a Leading City of the Green New Deal" together with civic groups, universities, companies, and research institutes.
The roundtable discussion was conducted in three parts: Part 1, "Presentation of the 2021 Budget Plan by Departments"; Part 2, "Roundtable Discussions in Seven Fields"; and Part 3, "Presentation of Issues and Proposals." Gwangju City established a budget plan of 92 cases totaling 1.215 trillion won.
At the discussion, the need for detailed plans and budget reflection was raised regarding revisions and supplements to the promotion contents by Gwangju City departments, the role and necessity of an administrative control tower, education and publicity to expand citizen acceptance, and various citizen participation methods.
