BMW Korea Launches Customized Lifestyle Platform 'BMW Vantage'

Providing Integrated Online and Offline Services Through 'Coin'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] BMW Korea announced on the 7th that it will launch ‘BMW Vantage,’ a blockchain technology-based customized lifestyle platform, for the first time in Korea among the BMW Group. BMW Vantage provides integrated services across mobility, travel, culture, education, and overall lifestyle both online and offline through ‘BMW Coin.’

First, when purchasing a new BMW vehicle, a minimum of 300,000 to a maximum of 500,000 coins are provided depending on the model. When repurchasing a new BMW vehicle, additional coins corresponding to a portion of the vehicle price are granted.

In particular, to commemorate the launch of BMW Vantage, customers who purchase the newly released New 5 Series and New 6 Series Gran Turismo in Korea on the 5th of this month will receive a total of 900,000 coins, consisting of a basic 400,000 coins plus an additional 500,000 coins. Customers purchasing models such as the 1 Series, 2 Series, X1, and X2 will receive a total of 600,000 coins during October, including double welcome coins.

The accumulated coins can be used for all paid services within the app and for partner services such as Korean Air. Even without purchasing a vehicle, coins can be earned by participating in events or games within the app.

Using the BMW Vantage app, users can conveniently book or pay for official BMW services such as the BMW Driving Center programs, maintenance services, airport services, and promotions.

Differentiated services are also provided through a membership tier system. Based on new car purchase history over the past 10 years, four tiers (Blue, Silver, Gold, Black) are assigned. Depending on the membership tier, benefits such as AS vouchers, BMW Driving Center discounts, and BMW event invitations are provided, and travel services are offered to premium tier customers.
